Data Deletion Instructions

You can request deletion of any data Exorous Technologies holds about you, including data obtained on your behalf from Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp). Verified requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

1. What gets deleted

When you delete your account or submit a specific data deletion request, the following are removed from active systems:

  • Account profile (name, email, organization membership)
  • Meta access tokens, refresh tokens, and System User credentials
  • Connected Meta ad accounts, business assets, page references, and permission grants
  • Synced Meta ad insights, ad creative metadata, and campaign rollups
  • Brand kits, uploaded logos, fonts, and color palettes
  • Generated AI variations, campaign briefs, and intelligence notes
  • Competitor scan results, ad analyses, and historical job logs

2. How to request deletion

You have three options, depending on what you want removed:

Option A — Delete your entire Exorous account (self-serve)

  1. Sign in at exorous.com/login
  2. Go to Settings ’ Account ’ Delete Account
  3. Confirm via the verification email sent to your address

This deletes everything listed in section 1 within 30 days, including any Meta data we hold for you.

Option B — Disconnect Meta only (keep Exorous account)

Revoke our access to your Meta data without losing your Exorous account:

  1. From Meta: Go to Facebook Settings ’ Business Integrations, find Exorous, and click Remove. Meta will notify us via our deauthorization webhook and we will purge tokens, insights, and account references within 30 days.
  2. From Exorous: Go to Accounts ’ [your Meta account] ’ Disconnect.

Option C — Submit a deletion request below

If you cannot access your account or prefer a written request, use the form below. We will reply within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. All fields marked * are required.

3. Meta data deletion callback

Exorous Technologies handles Meta's mandatory Data Deletion Request Callback at:

  • https://exorous.com/api/webhooks/meta/data-deletion

When Meta sends a deletion request via this endpoint, we record the confirmation code, queue the deletion job, and return a status URL you can use to track completion.

4. Timeline

  • Acknowledgement: within 2 business days of request
  • Active-system deletion: within 30 days
  • Encrypted backup expiry: within 90 days (backups roll off naturally; we do not restore deleted data from backup)

5. What we retain after deletion

We retain the minimum data required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Billing and tax records — retained 7 years (legal requirement)
  • Audit logs of the deletion event itself — retained 12 months
  • Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics that cannot be linked to you

We do not retain any Meta access tokens, ad insights, or personally-identifiable Meta data after deletion.

6. Verification

To prevent unauthorized deletion, we verify the request by sending a confirmation link to the email address on the account. For requests from a different address, we may ask for additional verification.
